World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth
The biggest release of MMORPG 2019 so far is the Battle for Azeroth expansion for WoW. The game was released in August 2018, and the expansion has added new levels, new play areas, new races, dungeons, kingdoms and a ton of new stuff. Though the game is 14 years old this year, it is still growing stronger and this expansion seems to have given thousands of MMORPG lovers more reasons to play it all over again.
Warframe is a free MMORPG that has taken the game world by storm. The game is a futuristic co-op shooter that places players as a member of a warrior race that have to fight a range of enemies. It is a co-cop PVE game against NPCs where your squad is the only human players. The game will not actually sound great for a starter but once you play for a while and become hooked up, your opinion will definitely change. While Warframe is not as deep as WoW or some of the other MMORPGs on this list, it is very engaging.
Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 had a great comeback with the Path of Fire. Though the game experienced a long period of noting new happening, this recent update has brought a new interest to this deep and now huge MMORPG. By just adding mounts, it is now easier and more interesting to explore, elite specializations enabled a lot more customization and the new bosses and events have revitalized what was tired and sometimes mundane MMO. You will be glad to return to GW2 in this year 2019.
Eve Online is another best MMORPG stalwart that went through a phase of mediocrity before experiencing a revival this year. The year 2019 has seen some vast improvements in the new player experience. There are some new incursions and events, and some UI improvements that have made life much more bearable.
Elder Scrolls Online
Elder Scrolls Online was also updated in 2018 with Summerset and some DLCs that added a little flavor to the game. Initially, most lovers of MMORGs are unimpressed with this game, but after a while and more updates, ESO is now one of the best MMORPG you can think of presently. It has a record of over 10 million players around the world.
Neverwinter was a hit right from its launch. The game looked great, and had all the D&D character you could need. In addition, it has some innovative ideas such as player-designed quests and events. The Ravenloft expansion has done a great deal in bringing people back to the world, and when you login now, there are people everywhere just the way it was at launch.
Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy XIV portrays a perfect example of how to pick yourself up and get it right the next time. The latest version is so much better than the previous one. After the latest release, Final Fantasy XIV is now a great game with nice UI and a good support. Apart from the game having a fantastic look and immense play, there are regular events; updates and all that good stuff that will make you come back for more.
Black Desert Online
Black Desert Online has good graphics, characters, classes and depth, but it also has some downside too. For example, leveling can be a painful grind and the world certainty is not that large too. However, it is for show one of the best MMORPG in 2019.
New Massive Multiplayer Online Role Paying Games are rare at the moment, but thank God the old favourites are still being developed. While 2019 is not actually the best year to be an MMO gamer, there are many new things you can still try.
