The Korean Republic Preliminary Squad for the next month’s FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 has been announced by the Head Coach of the National Team, Shin Taeyong. Among notable inclusions were Lee Sengwoo and veteran Lee Chungyong, who is set to make his third World Cup appearance.

Players who are omitted from the Korean Republic Preliminary Squad are young center-back, Kim Minjae and winger Yeom Kihun, due to injury. They were replaced by Oh Bansuk and Lee Chungyong respectively. The Captain’s armband is expected to be worn by experienced midfielder Ki Sungyueng.
