How to borrow airtime from Airtel
If you want to borrow airtime from Airtel, their criteria that make you eligible as a subscriber for that offer is that you must be consistent on their network for at least 3 months and you must be recharging your line with a minimum of N250 on a monthly basis.
The USSD code you will use if you want to borrow airtime from Airtel is *500*amount# .
For example, if you want to borrow N500, simply dial *500*500#, and your line will be credited with 90% of the amount dialled. Meaning you will be getting N450 when you request N500.
How to borrow airtime from Etisalat
As a subscriber, before you can be eligible to borrow airtime from Etisalat, you must have been recharging your Etisalat line with at least N900 a month.
The USSD code to dial is *665*amount# . For example if you intend to borrow N200, simply dial *665*200#.
You should also be aware that the service will attract a 10% fee, which means you will be getting N180 instead of N200.
How to borrow airtime from Glo
If you have been an old subscriber on the Glo network, you are of great advantage because you can borrow as much amount as you need, it can be as large the amount of airtime you had purchased on the network ever you start using the line.
For new subscribers, before you can be eligible to borrow airtime on the Glo network, you need to be on the network for at least 4 months.
To borrow airtime from Glo, simply dial *321*PIN*amount#. For example, if you want to borrow N300, simply *321*4535*300#. Also, you will be charged 10% from the original amount you intend to borrow, for example, you will be getting N270 when you request N300.
How to borrow airtime from MTN
The feature of borrowing airtime from MTN is only available to prepaid customers who recharge their MTN line with at least N500 monthly. So if you are not spending up to that amount in a month, you may not be qualified to borrow airtime from MTN.
To key into this feature, simply dial *606#, then follow the menu prompt to choose your desired amount. The minimum amount you can borrow at a time is N50. just like the rest network providers, this MTN service attracts a 10% charge from the original amount you wish to borrow. For example, your line will be credited with N45 when you choose to borrow N50.
