The Samsung Galaxy S8 was a huge success for the brand, it had a sales record greater than the previous models. This does not negate the fact that Samsung still have more marketing strategy to sell even more units of the Samsung Galaxy S8 this year.
Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean special edition is an example of a strategy to sell more units on the phone. This is not the first time Samsung is partnering with movie studios to launch special editions of their smattphones. It is not a thing of surprise to see Samsung targeting one of the blockbuster movies of the year for their handset. The unfortunate part about this is that you cannot easily buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean edition yet.
As explained on GizmoChina, the special edition model is available currently on JD.com for the time being and it is price at $880.
Unlike the regular model, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pirates Edition comes in a special treasure chest box. The item in the box also includes a protective case and a special holder. Another features of the phone is that when you turn it on, you will see a “Dead Men Tell No Tales” theme on it. Unfortunately, this edition is not adorned with any Pirates sign. The special case comes in handy for users because it can offer some degree protection, considering how easily the Samsung Galaxy S8 glass can break.
Apart from the Pirates-inspired visuals, there are no visible changes done to the Samsung Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean edition. The device comes with same 4GB and 64GB internal storage just like the regular Galaxy S8. For now, there are no information yet if the bigger Galaxy S8+ will be offered the same treatment.
